Our Core Ideologies

  • We stand for the total eradication of the Hindu Varnashrama system and the hierarchical caste order.
  • We relentlessly oppose all forms of social exclusion and discrimination practiced in the name of caste.
  • We are committed to build a truly egalitarian society where every Tamil citizen enjoys equal rights and opportunities.
  • We are committed to reclaim and strengthen the Tamil people's linguistic, cultural, and civilizational identity, and establish a robust Tamil national consciousness.
  • We oppose exploitative capitalism and strive to secure the hard-earned rights of the working class.
  • We believe in the absolute liberation of women as a fundamental pillar of social progress.

The Foundational Pillars of Our Ideology

Annihilation of Caste

We aim to completely uproot all forms of caste discrimination, created and sustained by the Hindu caste system. We shall achieve this goal by following the revolutionary philosophy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar: "Educate, Agitate, and Organize."

Social Justice & Equality

We fight for the social, economic, and political rights of all marginalized people, including Dalits, Tribes, OBCs, and Minorities. Our commitment is to establish an egalitarian society where no individual is considered superior or inferior by birth.

Rationalism & Self-Respect

Following the rationalist ideals of Thanthai Periyar, we strive to build an intellectual society rooted in self-respect. We reject superstitions and meaningless religious rituals, choosing instead to foster a scientific temper and critical thinking among the masses.

Dalitism

We strive for the complete liberation of working people who have been oppressed and fragmented into minorities due to caste, language, religion, gender, and other social divisions—towards a society free from all forms of domination.

Land Rights & Labor Welfare

We resist caste-based landlord domination, violence, and exploitation directed at landless Dalit agricultural labourers and other working people. We fight to secure fair wages, basic rights, and social security, especially for unorganised workers, and to protect the livelihoods of all labouring communities.

Women's Liberation

We uphold women's education, economic independence, and social rights. We oppose every form of oppression and violence against women at both family and societal levels, and we are committed to ensuring women's liberation and gender equality.

Secularism

We firmly oppose communal and religious majoritarian politics. Upholding the secular principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution, we work to ensure that people of all faiths can live without fear, with equal rights and dignity.

Safeguarding Democracy

We defend democracy by ensuring governments are formed through the people's mandate. We insist on free, fair, and transparent elections, and we strive to establish a genuine people's democracy that guarantees equality, liberty, and justice for every citizen.

Tamil Nationalism

We are committed to protecting and promoting the language, culture, heritage, and homeland of the Tamil people. Our vision of Tamil Nationalism is the creation of a casteless, self-respecting, and egalitarian Tamil society.

Our Ideological Mentors

Gautama Buddha

The first revolutionary to challenge Sanatana Dharma over two millennia ago. While other religions focused on the worship of deities, Buddha taught that Aram (Righteousness) is the only path worthy of devotion. Through his teachings of the Dhamma, he remains the global guide for peace, wisdom, and liberation for millions.

As a member of the Madras Legislative Council, and as a representative at the First and Second Round Table Conferences in London alongside Ambedkar, he forcefully argued for proportionate rights in education and employment, political representation, and safeguards for oppressed communities.
