“Trump’s Statement – Modi Has Abandoned National Interests”:
I have submitted an Adjournment Motion in Parliament – Dr. Thol. Thirumavalavan

“I seek permission to move a motion for the adjournment of the business of the House in order to discuss an issue of urgent public importance.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the Prime Minister of India agreed to the conditions imposed by the United States. According to Trump, the United States would reduce its tariffs by 7 percent, while, on the other hand, India would impose no tariffs on goods imported from the United States and reduce its tariffs to zero. Additionally, India must increase its trade volume with the United States by a further 500 billion dollars.

If Trump’s statement made on his social media platform is true, it would mean that the Indian government has compromised our very sovereignty.

Trump’s statement indicates that the Prime Minister has completely abandoned our national interests. However, in the Prime Minister’s own social media post, he has highlighted only the reduction in American tariffs. He has concealed the facts regarding India’s tariffs being reduced to zero and the additional imports worth 500 billion dollars. This amounts to misleading the people.

Trump amassed troops to subdue Iran. What did he do to subdue the Prime Minister of India? The Prime Minister must openly disclose to the people of this country what exactly he discussed with Trump.”

Stating thus, I have today submitted an Adjournment Motion in Parliament.
