Greetings, my lifeblood — the beloved Viduthalai Chiruthaigal!
Greetings, my lifeblood — the Viduthalai Chiruthaigals!
The party’s restructuring work is slowly taking shape. Appointments to district, zonal, and state-level administrations are being made periodically, and announcements are being released through my Facebook page and other social media platforms. These processes must be completed swiftly and in full. The Legislative Assembly general election is very close. In this situation, all district-level administrative appointments must be announced within the next few days.
Amidst the many responsibilities I carry out every day without rest or sleep, I am also compelled to allocate time for these organisational tasks. Almost every day, ten to fifteen hours are spent meeting party cadres, members of the public, and visitors. Therefore, I request party comrades to completely refrain from creating pressure by coming in person to meet me. Whatever responsibilities are announced should be willingly accepted and carried out. Even if any changes are to be made, we will sit calmly and decide after the elections. I do listen to your requests and undertake appropriate reviews, and wherever circumstances permit, I do make certain limited changes. If there are further such needs, they may also be taken up for consideration. Your affection and cooperation alone give me great encouragement. Hence, understanding my situation, prioritising the welfare of the party, and exercising patience for my sake, I request your full cooperation.
Change of District Secretaries
Appointments of district secretaries for all 234 constituencies have now been completed.
There will be no further changes. This is final.
In the announcement dated 04.02.2026, a few district secretary appointments were modified. Specifically, the district secretaries of Nagercoil, Mohammed Shaik, and Kangeyam, Pradeep Kumar, were relieved of those responsibilities at their own request and were appointed to other roles as per their preference.
Since Thanraj, district secretary of Chengam constituency, is a registered voter in Tiruvannamalai constituency, he has been relieved of that role and appointed as Zonal Deputy Secretary.
Thenmozhi, district secretary of Karaikudi, has been appointed as District Secretary of the Women’s Liberation Movement, and Marakkanam Nagarajan, district secretary of Tindivanam, has been appointed as Zonal Deputy Secretary. I take full responsibility for relieving both of them from their earlier posts. I request brother Nagarajan and sister Thenmozhi to bear with me for my sake and extend their cooperation to this decision.
Zonal Office-Bearers
Zonal secretaries and other zonal office-bearers have been appointed to provide appropriate guidance for the effective functioning of district administrations. They will undertake constructive efforts to strengthen subsidiary organisations such as the Women’s Liberation Movement, Youth Panthers Uprising Wing, Workers’ Liberation Front, Progressive Students’ Movement, and organisations for farmers and agricultural labourers.
They will coordinate with state- and district-level office-bearers of these wings and with district secretaries to draw up action plans for fieldwork, and to provide guidance for organising protests wherever necessary. They will not, under any circumstances, obstruct the party’s administration. Accordingly, regular training programmes will be conducted for them by the leadership. Hence, district office-bearers are requested to extend full cooperation to zonal office-bearers.
Likewise, in appointing new office-bearers for party units and subsidiary organisations at the union, town, panchayat, and municipal levels, zonal office-bearers must fully support the district secretaries. Zonal office-bearers shall not exert any pressure on district secretaries in these appointments. Their role is to guide and motivate district secretaries to complete these tasks swiftly, and to ensure their implementation.
Zonal office-bearers will also provide guidance for convening district executive committee meetings and meetings of subsidiary organisations, and for maintaining records and documentation. At district, union, and other administrative levels, executive and administrative committee meetings must be convened only by the respective secretaries at those levels. Zonal secretaries do not have the authority to convene such meetings, but they do have the authority to guide and advise district secretaries in a timely manner.
Zonal Deputy Secretaries
Four zonal deputy secretaries have been appointed — three to oversee two assembly constituencies each, and one for general administration. Along with the zonal secretary, a total of five zonal office-bearers have been appointed for each parliamentary constituency. All four deputy secretaries must work in close coordination with the zonal secretary.
The zonal deputy secretary appointed for general administration will handle coordination among other zonal deputy secretaries, maintenance of zonal administrative records, zonal office work, and other related responsibilities. I will provide a detailed note on zonal administration on another occasion.
District administrations and zonal office-bearers must work together harmoniously for the growth of the party.
Power Is Strength
Power strengthens every individual. Party power is something we ourselves generate through organisation. With the noble objective that each of us should partake in that power, we have implemented such power-sharing within our party.
Power-sharing is one of the fundamental pillars of democracy. Keeping this in mind, I am firmly committed to adopting and implementing this approach. My desire is to enable each one of you to experience power and thereby develop leadership. Your cooperation is indispensable for this.
The love and trust you have in me are what keep me active, energetic, and continuously moving.
Let us work together!
Let us win together!
Yours,
Thol. Thirumavalavan
