1. Direct Attack: "Vijay is Spewing Hatred"

The primary focus of this interview was Thol. Thirumavalavan's critique of actor Vijay's political approach. He clarified that the VCK (Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi) was one of the first parties to welcome Vijay's entry into politics. Therefore, the current criticism is not about his arrival, he stated.

He pointed out that their main concern is that, despite starting the party two and a half years ago, Vijay has not yet articulated any policy-based political stance. Instead, Thirumavalavan directly accused Vijay of "spewing hatred" against the ruling party in his haste to immediately seize power, rather than just offering criticism. He repeatedly emphasized that this criticism is not a personal attack on Vijay but on his political methodology.

He has not spoken anything political, meaning policy-based politics, but is instead elevating the politics of hatred.

2. Shocking Information: "300 People Compete for One Government Job"

Thirumavalavan strongly registered the severity of unemployment in Tamil Nadu. He mentioned that for every government post announced by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), 200 to 300 people apply. This highlighted the gravity of the situation.

He attributed this crisis to three policies of the Union Government: 1) Privatizing everything, 2) Reducing manpower in government jobs, and 3) Hiring temporary staff through outsourcing. He warned that the widespread unemployment among educated youth would severely affect the nation's growth and demanded that the Union and State governments immediately formulate policies to increase employment opportunities.

3. Violation of Rights: "Shooting Criminals is an Unacceptable Approach"

Responding to a question regarding police encounters and human rights violations, Thirumavalavan clarified his party's firm stance. He stated unequivocally that the police approach of shooting and apprehending criminals is completely unacceptable.

He strongly put forth the following statement to reinforce his position:

The approach of the police to shoot and apprehend criminals, whoever they may be, is not acceptable.

4. Election Strategy: "Vellore Constituency is Again on Our Demands List"

Thirumavalavan responded to a journalist's question about the possibility of the VCK winning the Vellore Lok Sabha constituency if a candidate was fielded on the basis of "Dalit people's identity." He confirmed that the constituency was on VCK's seat-sharing demands list in the past.

He stated that the Vellore constituency would again be on their wish list in the upcoming elections. However, he explained that during alliance negotiations, the final decision would be made considering factors like the chance of victory, and that this is the established practice of the alliance party.

5. Severe Accusation: "Voter List Verification is a Conspiracy"

Thirumavalavan registered the VCK's strong opposition to the Special Summary Revision (SSR) for correcting the voter list. He stated that their party's core policy is that "SSR itself should be avoided." He mentioned that even though the Election Commission had extended the deadline by a week due to the rainy season, they oppose the entire exercise.

He severely accused this special revision of being a "conspiracy" orchestrated jointly by the Union government and the Election Commission. He explained that they view this as an "attempt to test the citizenship of the people." Instead, he insisted that the usual Summary Revision should be followed.

Conclusion: A Thought-Provoking Political Path

Thol. Thirumavalavan's press conference has touched upon multiple dimensions: political debates, human rights, economic crisis, and election strategies. It remains to be seen which of these three—the charge of Vijay's politics of hatred, the rising unemployment crisis, or the conspiracy accusation regarding the voter list—will become the central defining point of the upcoming electoral landscape.
